Privacy Policy

Last updated May 3, 2026.

PrivacyTermsCookiesGDPR

This Privacy Policy describes how SEO Wires ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use our website at seowires.comand the SEO Wires application (collectively, the "Service"). We take your privacy seriously and only process personal information for the purposes described below.

1. Who we are

SEO Wires is the data controller for the personal information processed through the Service. You can reach us at jd@blackwires.com for any privacy-related question or to exercise the rights described below.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account details: name, email address, and a hashed password when you create an account.
  • Workspace inputs: the URLs and content you submit for analysis (your own website, competitor URLs, topic ideas).
  • Generated artifacts: outlines, drafts, and articles produced for you by the Service, which are stored in your account.
  • Communications: emails, support tickets, and other messages you send us.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: features used, pages viewed, actions taken in the application.
  • Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and timestamps.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see our Cookie Policy for details.

Information from third parties

When you sign in with a third-party identity provider (if available), we receive limited profile information (such as your name and email) from that provider, in accordance with the permissions you grant.

3. How we use information

  • To provide, operate, and improve the Service.
  • To authenticate you, secure accounts, and prevent fraud or abuse.
  • To run analyses you request — crawling URLs you submit, identifying competitors, generating outlines and drafts.
  • To process payments and manage credit balances (when applicable).
  • To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. Legal bases for processing

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Contract — to deliver the Service you requested.
  • Legitimate interests — to secure, improve, and grow the Service, in a way that does not override your rights.
  • Consent — for non-essential cookies and marketing communications, where required.
  • Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws.

5. Sharing and sub-processors

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with vetted service providers acting on our instructions, including:

  • Cloud hosting and database providers
  • Email delivery providers (for verification and notifications)
  • AI inference providers (to generate research and drafts)
  • Search and SERP data providers (for competitor analysis)
  • Analytics providers (aggregated, privacy-respecting metrics)

These providers are bound by data-processing agreements and may only use personal information to provide services to us. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a corporate transaction (with appropriate safeguards).

6. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. Workspace inputs and generated artifacts are retained for the lifetime of your account so that you can access your prior work. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal information within ninety (90) days, except where retention is required by law (for example, tax records).

7. Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS), salted password hashing, scoped access controls, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to enable any additional security features we make available.

8. International transfers

SEO Wires operates globally. Personal information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer data outside of the EEA or the United Kingdom, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to the processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent at any time. See our GDPR notice for details on how to exercise these rights.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, give you reasonable notice (for example, by email or in-app notice).
